Can anyone confirm if Ari Pulkkinen returns to compose the soundtrack for Trine 5?

Yes, Ari Pulkkinen returns in Trine 5. We're also using some legacy tracks that you may recognize from earlier games (our goal was to create a similar atmosphere as the original levels in e.g. the Crystal Caverns in Trine 1). These have been mixed by Ari and his team too. But there's a completely new tracks as well and everything is laid out in a "dynamic" way with parts coming in and out depending on certain factors (like progress in the level etc). It changes the way the music sounds a bit.

So in a nutshell, Trine 5 sounds as great as the other games in the series. :)

That was my thought, but I checked his channels and didn't find any info about it. Hope he creates something beautiful once again!

From the pre-launch FAQ:

Will the game feature cross play between PC/consoles and between Steam/Epic/GOG?
Yes, but with certain limitations. PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch can all play together if they are using the same build version/number. This WILL NOT be the case at launch, but we are aiming to make it possible WITHIN A MONTH after launch. PlayStation users are left out of cross-play at this point.

Will the game feature cross-generation co-op play?
Yes, this will work on all platforms at release, so for example PlayStation 4 users can play with PlayStation 5 users, and Xbox One users can play with Xbox Series S|X users.

Will the game feature cross saves between PC/consoles and between Steam/Epic/GOG?
Saves are shared in online multiplayer, but cannot be directly transferred between 2 devices.
