Here are the main problems with the game.

1) The dice roll game is, go figure, very luck dependent. It can be skipped most of the time, but it still would be better if the RNG couldn't shaft you so hard.

2) The game does that stupid thing where it forces you to walk sometimes for "cinematic" reasons.

3) The combat is messy. It isn't like Dark Souls where you can identify patterns, sneak in a hit accordingly, and then get out of the way. It's more about knowing that you're going to get punched in the face after you try to throw a punch yourself, and just trying to minimize that damage. Not very elegant, and generally unsatisfying because of that. It also artificially restricts you to fight in certain perimeters which seems entirely pointless to me.

4) A lot of the areas are samey and it's easy to get lost or go in circles.

5) It has some cheese in it, e.g. enemies can swing their weapons through walls and stuff.

Okay, aside from those downers, I liked it. It's an interesting world and exploring it is mostly satisfying, the characters are well written, and it's the perfect length.

Instant classic the game is an acid trip in every good way possible can't wait for the sequel.
