Upgrading keep / tax cycle
I've read somewhere that upgrading your keep slows down the taxes cycle... Am I misunderstanding something, and if not, shouldn't you just never ugprade the keep?

That guide is from 2022 so not sure if it is still true in 2024.

But you will need higher tier keep for stronger upgrades,units so you must upgrade.

The final keep upgrade is optional.

Upgarding to tier 2 keep asap is top priority in survival mode then getting tier 2 houses.

I concur, do the first 2 keep upgrades as soon as you have the spare resources. Also re taxes, I go for the treasury ASAP, having built a hole for it in my housing development....

Siege workshop, iirc. Not the research itself, but the building requirement.

Nothing is locked behind tier 3 keep. You need to rush the 2nd one + tier 2 houses as crypto says. That's about all that matters early game and you should have both by the start of day 2.

By day 2 u should have no tier 1 houses left, as they are a huge eco sink.

The Treasury is not a priority. Its a good thing to add once u have mostly stone houses.
