[Bug] Steam removed all game files, insists everything's great

A couple of days ago, Steam updated the game and removed all the files. If I tell it to verify the game, it says 0 bytes successfully verified. I tried uninstalling and re-installing but no dice. Did a bad update get pushed? Please fix, my small human is demanding we finish the game. :-)...

GAME SAVE MISSING

I went to play the game again. The bug with the black screen after the publisher's screen is not only still there, but worse. Also, when I went to CONTINUE my game, IT'S NOT THERE. What happened to my game save ???

Bugs

Hello GREAT game, I like it. I have finished it twice and I just would like to report you some "bugs". - Sometime the game doesn't respond, you click (on Catie for example) and nothing happens. That happens level 8 Catie never wanted to climb the stairs. I had to restart the level. - Level 4, I was trying to unlock the speedrun achievement, so I click fast on animations, when the hand give fruits and cheese to give to the mouse, the cheese was stuck at the place of the hand [...
