The translations guide, and welcome to the forum!
Hi! I put together a brief guide on how to translate the game into another language. Its actually pretty simple since ALL the data for a specific language is inside a separate folder. Here is a list of what needs translating:

The game supports unicode and dynamic text rendering, so we should be able to add ANY language to the game

This is all a bit of an experiment, but it would be great to get crowd-sourced translations in the game as YOU the players, know the political terms and gamneplay terms better than anybody else would!

Which is an EXCELLENT way of doing things. I've finally uploaded all the text that needs translating now. I have a mostly done (fan-made) localization of italian I need to get uiploaded at some point...

I was helping at https://crowdin.com/project/democracy-4 translation to Brazilian portuguese, but I have just seen that you're working at Localizor.com. If you could add a portuguese topic, I would be glad to help.

Hello, I made the required changes to the files but the option to change language in the game did not appear, does anyone know what it could be?

the game looks in a certain folder to see if other folders are inside it.
It looks for any folders inside the 'translations' folder, or any folders inside a 'translations' folder within a mod.
Does the mod you have created show up ok in the mods screen in the game? If not, the game has not even found that folder, so wont find a translations folder inside it...
