Honestly this game is more deserving of a mixed review than a negative one, but there is no in between.

My first issue with this game is it comes with a 3rd party bloatware launcher, Fulqrum Publishing Launcher, which mainly displays an advertisement for another game. So on Steam, pressing the "Play" button takes you to another screen to press "Play" again. Eliminates the point of having the game on Steam.

I'm also not all that impressed with the gameplay itself. Despite being named hyperviolent, it doesn't feel all that violent. Sure you kill just about everything you see, but there are many moments between the fights where nothing is happening. I guess going into this, I was expecting to be in constant combat. Instead the fights are over so quickly and there's gaps between enemies that there's a lot of no combat.

I'm not sure what's up with the mouse on the menu, but it feels off. I'm always missing the "retrieve ammo" button.

Overall this just feels like another doom style shooter that doesn't really add anything novel.

It's a shame to diss on it, because it's supposed to be a simple 90's shooter/melee, made by an indie dev. But if the product isn't good, should I really praise it?

Cons:

• Very little in terms of challenge
  
• The "higher damage" weapons are worse than the starter pistol (which I used the whole game)
  
• Weapons precision is terrible, except the starter pistol, which is surprisingly good
  
• Ambient is far too dark, played 80% of the game with flashlight on one hand
  
• Enemies aren't challenging, and are unfairly fast at shooting you when you go around the corner
  
• Annoying bug of opening corpse inventory gives a 1 second black screen (Sometimes up to 4 seconds)
  
• Couldn't finish the game because I had a critical error which couldn't be bypassed (Found other people with the same issue, no solution)

If you get it under 2$, maybe it's worth it. I barely had fun.
