controller support
just wondering if it's on the to-do list, as currently, i can't play the game with an controller, due to none of the controller's inputs doing anything in-game.

Controller support can be added to devices you build in game, its not part of movement/building for your character.

You build something, then add controller support to it, and define its actions.

Kinda tricky, as you would still need a way to use the gamepad interface as Balsover said. I did make an attempt at this, but it's pretty bad.
