Thats not true at all. When he says melts he means the team disappears fast. All my games end in 4-6 min averages with some outliers being 2m 30s and 15m draw 99% are 4-6min. I just got to redline on himmelsdorf in 1min 30 as no one spotted me from hill so me and a lt drove there. Thats just stupid why is no one going hill to prevent this and spot? Teams are now basically going 2 out of the three corridors on naps and leaving one corridor completely open. These games are over in about 3 minutes the game has been decided and the final two minutes are simply mopping up the last tanks.
So one might presume these are "bots" as they tend to all go one side. Thats exactly how bots behave because they all share the same pathfinders. An easy way to spot a wow bot was the bot train. I am sure that would apply to wot as well.
So i gotta disagree 5min bot games are not fine. I find this deeply unenjoyable and i am waiting for frontline. This is terrible value for money only being able to have decent games once in a blue moon when frontline is happening. To save this game frontline needs to be every weekend. I literally can not stress enough how garbage the current game is.
No. You'd expect bots to spread out evenly from spawn because their path-finding is going to prefer nearby starting nodes rather than distant ones on the opposite flank.
Which is what I saw with the WG bots in the warm-up queue when I returned to the game after a hiatus: The bots that spawned on the left went left; the bots in the middle went middle; the bots on the right went right. Because those were the closest paths to them.
No-one codes path-finding so that bots just pick the least direct route to a destination - because that doesn't lead to any sort of discernible pathing at all.
If a third-party was coding passive XP farming bots, you'd code them to yolo into the enemy via the shortest route possible without any delays at the very start to get as much free first-spotting XP as possible - so they can requeue with their next nation's tank as quickly as possible.
However, you would expect humans' natural herding instincts to cause new and incompetent players to clump up together:
Because the game punishes them if they try to solo push without knowing how to leverage the game mechanics;
Because having teammates nearby for the enemy to shoot at instead of you lets you live longer;
Because having teammates nearby shoot stuff for you means you don't get out-traded by better players;
Because having teammates with decently trained crews and coated optics in front of you means you might actually get to see what's shooting at your team before you die.
Because people who don't know where they want to go will just follow-the-leader.
Lemming trains are typically a human phenomenon.
Once again, your prejudice against Wargaming has caused you to say things that are pretty much diametrically opposed to what even the most basic of common sense would suggest.
How embarrassing.
An easy way to recognize bots is that they often get stuck during pathfinding and then go into inactive mode. They only become active again when the bots are directly attacked. This has been going on for years, even if WG says they're not bots... of course they are bots, which is also clearly visible in some CC streams at level 10.
Yes, even though I don't play anymore, I still keep up with WoT and pay less attention to the CC itself in the CC videos and more attention to the two teams.
Unfortunately, WG hasn't done much in this regard, and the terrible MM with its confusing tank compositions hasn't improved either.
You can continue to call Rod a fool for every comment, but he's right about most of what he writes.
As long as Wargaming continues to blame the players for their mistakes and shows no insight into the fact that they're at fault, WoT will be beyond repair, because insight is the best path to improvement.
But WG doesn't want to play a game with customers who enjoy WoT so much, who play it frequently, and even invest in it. Instead, WG is relying on frustration in WoT, and WG genuinely thinks players like that. xD
Which software are these bots specifically using? How is the path-finding implemented? What's the exact scripting for it?
Is the bot's decision making configurable in the software? And if so, what configuration is causing the behaviour you're attributing to bots?
What's the intent of these bots, and how does this behaviour achieve that intent vs any other?
I don't doubt there's hacks in the game, and I don't doubt there's AFK bot software...
... but precisely what actual evidence do you have to deduce any given player is a bot & what evidence do you have to determine the frequency with which these bots exist within the matches?
Because conjecture isn't a reason for assuming something is true.
and you are not one of them?
Lmao the pro has spoken
