I was so excited with the art direction and the plot I was able to parse from the store page. And then I played the game.
The game is clearly supposed to be emulating retro point-and-click adventure games, and the developers somehow decided that emulating the obtuse nature of older puzzles and the downright frustrating AI of the characters-- namely the main enemy within the game. When playing, three of my friends were helping me out here and there and we still had to consult a walkthrough to find out what to do. The worst part is that there is a semblance of a good story here, but then it and any scare factor it may have had gets ruined by the pure annoyance of the constant chases in the latter half of the game.
I don't know if we were playing incorrectly, or if our game was somehow bugged, but it left a bad taste in our mouth nonetheless.
