Server fixes
We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully optimized our servers in a first pass, resulting in significantly improved performance! We released the update 24 hours ago and have closely monitored the results before sharing this update and we hope that we'll be in safer waters going forward. We are continuously looking into ways to optimize and provide our users a better experience.

Now is the perfect time to return to Mars, explore the planet, and make new friends (or rivals)!

Yesterday, January 16th 2025, many of you bought a trip to Mars. For most of you, while the landing was rough, the journey was enjoyable despite some obvious unanticipated challenges. For others, it was not exactly what they expected when buying their ticket.

Our resources are currently focusing on improving the stability of the server to make sure we can all share the love we have for the game on a more stable ground. We will be monitoring the servers performances over the weekend and we will keep doing so until we get to a point where we feel comfortable with the servers.

An additional feedback we received is the lack of a tutorial. Rest assured, we are on it! While the content creators are doing an amazing job covering the basics of the game, we have been working on an in-game tutorial. We cannot wait to introduce it to you all.

We also added a server called "[US] Spoon stress test server" to test server performance. THIS SERVER IS A TEST SERVER. Please be aware that this server might reset, wipe or be taken down at any moment. This is a server to monitor performances. If you live in the US, want to contribute to the test and don't mind losing your progress, please join.

We are launching in Early Access Alpha, and as such, the game is finally ready for a larger-scale population! We have here collected some helpful information so you know what to expect in your off-planet adventures.

• All baseline interactions, weapons, blueprints etc are implemented (more to be released and updated over time).
  
• We are looking for a larger-scale population, and as such, server performance might need optimization throughout the Early Access release window, and periodical downtime might occur.

• Servers and progress will be wiped weekly
  
• Blueprints will be wiped monthly
  
• Generally, a monthly patching and fixing server maintenance window will be applied (hot fixing will, of course, be prioritized when needed)
  
• Remember, the game and your base are still operational on the server even if you log off. It is wise to prepare defenses for when you need some shut-eye!
  
• The bear is not for cuddles.
  
• Trust no one.

• Private servers (rentable options to be presented) will be available at a later date; please keep an eye on our dev updates here or on Discord.
  
• GRIM will provide mod options on private servers in the future.
  
• A handy tutorial! If you have played similar games before, you should be familiar with the basic interactions, but a tutorial is in the works to be added as a helper to anyone new to survival games.
