It's not whining, it's just stating a fact.
The developers promised things on their kickstarter that have not been added, and will never get added.
The missing race is one of several missing features.
Of course the lack of a playerbase is the biggest problem, one that won't get solved as they announced the full abandonment of the project, but that doesn't mean other problems suddenly disappear.
No players = no servers = no cat mini game or literally whatever the ♥♥♥♥ else lmao
By that logic, games cannot ever exist as games have zero players at the very moment they get launched.
Content promises and expectations exist to encourage players to start playing, allowing a developer to add more things.
The cat race was promised during their kickstarter, so it's reasonable to expect them to add it to the game, if not at the start, then definitely several years later.
Tf are you on even on about with that comparison? The weakest comparison I think i've ever heard to date. The expectation of players coming when they have signed up, watched trailers, literally any other statistic that they are interested vs a dead forum thread, not really any youtube/twitch presence. Yeah, wow I wonder why? lmao.
a "Massively Multiplayer Game" that has no people playing the "Massively Multiplayer" portion is WILD to think that they will keep paying for the servers and maintenance of it especially when that is reported to always be one of the most expensive portions of an MMO games budget. Ranging from 2.5/5k a month to hundreds of thousands of dollars if you're a big developer like Amazon Games with New World or the developers/publishers behind FF14 or WoW.
Tell me, why would a tiny games company keep paying for a demanding server (The moment you try to host dedicated servers for VR that need to update in real time thousands of little movements that you do with your arms and potentially legs if you've got the tracking for it, the performance demand goes up SUBSTANTIALLY with both bandwidth AND physical hardware) when no one is playing their game?
You clearly must be in some wonderland if you think that a Minecraft server that you hosted on your spare laptop vs one in a data centre is even close to being the same costs.
Sorry to break it to you bud, no, they won't give a ♥♥♥♥ about your cat race lmao. Their main priority is either A: Bring back more players with actual meaningful content (not one visual change that someone will look at, say "huh" to themselves and move on), marketing OR last case scenario, cutting loses and closing the servers because they are a business whether you like it or not and their end game goal is this mystical thing that is called "Money" which apparently you think appears from thin air to fund these servers lmao.
My guy, I think you're fighting a fight with things I never said.
What I am saying is that they aren't going to add a race because the game is dead, and it's dead because they never added the things they promised.
If they added things they promised before the game went belly up, it would most likely have thrived by now.
Players expected them to add things at launch, not just right now.
They ignored all those players and never lived up to the expectations they set for themselves and the game.
That's what I mean by needing to add features in order for players to start playing a game, because people aren't interested in an empty game.
So, I repeat. Yes, but none of those problems matter if there is no players.
"fighting a fight" with things that you have exactly said, that is why they are directly above my message. Suggest you reading it yourself again because you seem to have forgotten immediately which is slightly worrying lol
Going from calling the game a scam to "they need to add features in order for players to start playing a game because currently its empty" its two completely different things lmao.
However, what I said in your quotes is exactly what I meant.
A game needs features to entice players to buy it.
Buying it gives the developer more money to add more features, to then entice more players.
The cycle starts with features, not players.
Lmao not my fault you can't write a cohesive sentence and then get mad because you're called out on it.
Games not a scam, you're just incapable of accepting the fact its dead lul.
Whatever helps you sleep at night tho.
When I stated OP was stating facts, I meant about the cat race not being added.
I'm fully capable of writing cohesive sentences, you just made wrong assumptions about what I meant, that's okay, you have a right to be wrong about what I meant when I said what I said.
I'm fairly confident that I know better what I meant than you do.
You, you on the other hand, seem like you have some reading comprehension issues.
He could not have made his points easier to understand yet you're still arguing a point that was never argued.
Oof.
Kid camps the forums like it's his job. Sorry I take weeks off. I touch grass.
Misery loves company. Keep picking fights on a forum where clearly no one likes you. 😂😂😂
Oh no a child on the internet said he no one likes me :(
What would I ever do :(
"I take weeks off" is a wild statement to say though when your hours played and game activity is public tho.
I'm suuuper late and don't even own the game, but you's a ♥♥♥♥♥.
