Motion Sickness from Camera Shake
This game looks really cool and I want to continue playing, but the huge amount of secondary camera movement makes it so I can't even get through the tutorial without getting dizzy. Really wish there were some camera shake intensity options, as there don't seem to be any. A static central screen element like a dot reticle option would go a long way if camera shake isn't feasible. Having visual anchor point on the screen has been shown to help a lot. :) Hope to revisit if added!

Hi! Thank you for your feedback on that. And thanks for your reccomendations. We'll check what is feasible on our side on that front :D

Love the game, but unfortunately I have also experienced motion sickness.

Main causes are:
1. The big one: camera easing. When the camera is moved there's a second or two of deceleration as the camera "settles" into the new position, and this happens every time the camera's view is changed. This unfortunately will cause motion sickness for folks who are prone, and it's not a fun time.
--- For a similar example of this, play Lost in Random. Great game, but the camera was HELL for motion sickness in that every time you'd move it would start swinging on its own behind the character. You couldn't just look around as you ran, as the camera would be constantly fighting you to return behind the character - this was truly awful and very poor camera implementation.
2. Bobbing while climbing ladders or sometimes interacting with other objects. The camera seems to be focused on the centre of Lux's body, which is fine while running around on flat ground. But climb a ladder and the camera bounces up and down as Lux bounces up and down climbing - the camera should simply stay fixed.

These are the two biggest culprits. Bottom line with cameras and motion sickness in games: any time the camera is doing something the player is not instructing the camera to do, motion sickness may occur. The eyes and brain have a certain expectation, while the game is delivering something else. This is why VR games where you move fluidly through 3D space can make people so ill - game is moving, but brain disagrees.

Overall I've really, really enjoyed this game, as did my viewers! But last stream I had to bail on it as the motion sickness got to me too much, and I'm uncertain if I'll be able to finish.

Hopefully this helps, and do keep us posted on any updates around changing the camera's behaviour!

Hi Dawg. First, very happy you liked the game even through the motion sickness. And thank you for the detailed explanation of the issue. We will keep this into account for the future!
