i had a solar flare happen and my batteries that are charged wont activate... am i missing something?

In 1.3 and at some of early 1.4 i did run like maybe 300 mods and it worked like magic. After a long time i decided to get back into game, updated all mods, disabling like 100 ones, and unsurprisingly game failed to load the map. I further thinned down the herd, dropped it like 100 mods, checked all incompatibilities, and finally i was in the game. Then things got started to get really wacky. In mid game things started to break down (pawns not attacking melee while being perfectly capable of moments ago...

I have plenty of packaged survival meals, and lavish meals but i can only force them to eat, they dont eat on their own i cant get them to feed patients who are immobile either, right click shows (not enough food) over the option to feed them...

I know there is one in the works, was hoping it would get announced by now.
