Performance issue on macOS

I try to play on macbook pro 2019 on last OS version and got about 20 fps on lowest settings. It is uncomfortable to play. I tried to change graphic card to discrete one via "sudo pmset -c gpuswitch 1" and it didn't help at all. Is my laptop too old or I need to install windows via bootcamp?

What graphics card do you have? The Windows version does run faster, but it might just be a case of an older machine. I've played through it just fine on a newer macbook.

Laptop has 2 cards:
Radeon Pro 560X 4gb
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536mb

Other specs:
2,6 GHz 6 core Intel Core i7
32gb ddr4
macOS 14.6.1

I would expect that to be fine if you mess with the settings enough. I don't think it'd run at 4k but changing the resolution to 1920x1080 or 1280x720 fullscreen would probably work. Turning down the effects - especially Volumetrics and Reflections - could see some decent gains. Some people see better performance with Culling on or off, but that's a small tradeoff between stability and performance.
