Hello all you puzzlers out there! It's time for the 2023 Steam Awards, and we would be oh so honored if you have it in your hearts to nominate Egression for the Labor of Love award.

After Egression's initial release in October 2022, we heard your calls for more content - who doesn't want more puzzles after all! And just before the 1-year releasiversary, we put out an entire additional set of puzzles - The Lobby Runaround! (If you haven't checked that out yet, get back in there!)

We hope that you were pleased with the new puzzles, and that you see the care we continue to put into the game. Regardless of your vote, we thank you for giving Egression space in your puzzling brains. And if you do choose to nominate Egression - thank you for that too!

Hello Escapers! We have heard your requests for more content, and we are back to deliver another round of puzzles. The next time you enter Egression, Inc., you will find a bunch of changes throughout the lobby and hallways. And so, we immediately welcome you to your new puzzle challenge - The Lobby Runaround!

To celebrate, we are offering Egression at a 50% discount (our biggest yet!) - so, welcome newcomers, and old-timers go tell your friends!

We are quite excited to have you all run through this next set of puzzles. Many of you will quickly notice our sources of inspiration, as we are paying homage to some of our favorite puzzle games this time around.

And one more thing: We added trophies! Head over to the trophy case at the back of the lobby, and you'll see 4 spots, 1 for each of:

• The Game Room
  
• The Deep Sea Lab
  
• The Lobby Runaround
  
• ??? (This is a nudge to all you existing players who never discovered the "something extra" about the original game - if you never found the credits, you've got more puzzling to do!)

This new content would not have been possible without all the gracious help from our puzzle-loving community, and as such we must send a big thank you to our play testers and beta testers. So testers: THANK YOU for everything you have helped us achieve!

We've made a ton of progress on the upcoming lobby run-around puzzles, so much so that we are now looking for play testers to help us make sure everything is working as intended!

Thank you to everyone for your amazing continued support for Egression! We've got a few tweaks that went out in this last patch, plus if you jump in-game you'll notice some coming soon content - details below!

• Made improvements to distance grab - in particular, this will execute the grab slightly more quickly now, which should make the interaction feel a bit more natural
  
• Made improvements to how keys and locks interact, especially when using distance grab
  
• Fixed an issue with floor height unintentionally resetting when returning from out of bounds
  
• Fixed an issue where fuses would fall through floors if thrown just right

• Added several "coming soon" items in the lobby, with some hints at what exactly is coming soon (*cough* another round of puzzles *cough*) - check them out, get excited, and stay tuned for more coming this summer!

Egression fans, hello! The annual Steam Awards are upon us, and we need your help!

You should see an option to nominate Egression for an award, and the next steps are all on you! Let the world know that your favorite VR escape room game is worthy of your praise! Together we can spread the word of just how good puzzles can be in a solid VR experience!

Thank you to everyone who has given amazing feedback on Egression so far! Our first patch is now out the door - see the release notes below for details!

• Added support for distance grab to pick up items from the floor without bending down (with an option to distance grab from non-floor locations for sitting players or limited play spaces)
  
• Added a button to the Tablet's exit screen to reset progress (great for letting friends/family start playing from scratch!)
  
• Added a confirmation screen for graphics quality changes (previously, players could inadvertently make the game unplayable at too high a setting, and then be unable to change it back)
  
• Added automatic graphics quality adjustments when framerate is consistently poor (to keep the game in a playable state)
  
• Increased allowed floor offsets for extreme cases and to allow young/small or sitting players to reach higher (combine this with the new distance grab feature to avoid needing to change floor height constantly)
  
• Added a deadzone for locomotion controls for aging controllers (no more drift!)

• Added an instructional sign behind the tablet on the intro table, to let players know not to try to put the tablet back in its holder (press the appropriate button on your control to put the tablet away and take it back out)
  
• Added a splash of fall to the kiosk area (gourds and turkeys galore)

• Fixed an issue where a hand could disappear until the tablet is used
  
• Fixed an issue where the player’s view would jump when using Pimax headsets
