The second Dread X Collection ups its game by changing the plain menu into a short horror/puzzle game that houses all the other short horror games in the collection. I love a good puzzle game, so this was a fun experience in between the other games in the collection, although I think it could use some more work on its story. In terms of the actual contents of the collection, I'll list them in order from my least to most favorite without spoiling anything, with the exception of The Thing in the Lake, which I honestly only played a few minutes of, so it didn't really get a fair shake.

Another Late Night was the most minimal in terms of its gameplay and I felt that it did not nail the horror aspect. I did feel that there were some good ideas in the game that could have been fleshed out a bit more.

The Toy Shop gave me quite a few jumps with its enemies, which I appreciated. My main issues with this game are in its storytelling, I think the sort of "twist" of the game is implied way to early, to the point where I had already figured it out well before the game broke the news to me. In addition, this game was the longest of the bunch, which isn't an issue in and of itself, but I do feel that it started to drag on due to the nature of its gameplay and story.

Sucker for Love definitely stands out in this group of games. I thought the gameplay was fun and the voice acting was very well done. However, I do think the game is scarier in theory than it is in practice, which is partly due to its style and partly due to my opinions on the theme linking these games together.

To the End of Days had great gameplay and voice acting, though I didn't think it was all that scary in its execution.

Solipsis was really very creepy and stuck with me for quite a while. That being said, I think it could use more work in terms of gameplay.

Undiscovered was very fun in terms of its story and characters. I do wish the enemies were a little scarier, but mostly I wish the camera was better, although I do think that the camera is a stylistic choice so I can't knock it too much.

Squirrel Stapler was the only game I knew much about before playing. It is... a truly bizarre game, and I find it very hard to describe my feelings on it. Scary though!

Touched by an Outer God was outrageously fun to play and offers a lot of replayability, and it tops everything off with having enemies that are truly unpleasant to look at.

Arcadletra was the perfect length, super fun to play, and did very well on the spooks.

The Diving Bell was probably my favorite game in terms of its story, and the balance between the gameplay and scares was perfect for me.

Charlotte's Exile was my favorite both in gameplay and scare factor, it very much scratched the puzzle itch in my brain while making me super paranoid.
