How come you don't want to accept a different genre for a RuneScape franchise that is open world survival crafting that you can play solo with optional multiplayer?
Dragonwilds is game that should be celebrated in the RuneScape franchise for having a different approach and gameplay, despite a rough EA release.
Of course the updates coming every 3 months frustrates many. However I'm pleased with the gameplay and artstyle that can still be improved on and fixed. It's all a matter of patience when looking foward to major updates. Enshrouded had a difficult EA release too, now it's a decently popular open world survival crafting set in a Medieval/High fantasy setting.
Dragonwilds will become more appealing to play next year.
If that game became an MMO, you will encounter the same problems that RS3 and certain other MMOs have which are MTX and macroing/botting alongside the scammers and griefers.
So be proud that Dragonwilds as a survival crafting open world is an escape from the problems that RS3 and OSRS have as MMOS. Hope you understand where I'm coming from.
I dont care about cosmectics MTX, but i rather they didnt, i hate MTX because im pretty sure the cosmectics would be in the game if they didnt exist, so it takes away from the people who bought the game in the first place, i would rather they add DLCs in the future, only put the fluffy stuff with the real DLC.
As for MMO, Jeremy is right on that one, OP is baiting, seens to have worked, we are all here hehehe, no awards for him though, steam should really take these off, foruns would clear of trolls seeking clown awards.
RS3 splitting into 2 games (RS3 and OSRS) split the community down the middle, what do you think will happen if RSDW was an MMO? Even less players would play the other games.
It's generally a bad idea to make MMOs that compete with your other MMOs as a dev...
People saying it shouldn't go MMO, are saying it because a 3rd MMO would divided the RS community even more. It's generally considered a bad idea to have 2 MMOs in the same franchise competing with each other, which is what we already have with RS3/OSRS.. What do you think will happen if a 3rd MMO appears? We don't need another live service mistake.
