Is it normal that the game is lacking a lot of sound effects?
I like the game a lot, but the sound design is very lacking. When NPC's talk, just silence. When double-jumping, no sound feedback to acknowledge the jump. There's just a lot of quiet or non-existent sounds where it seems like there should be. I beat the first boss, and had the little "explosion" looking absorb animation play, and there was just no sound at all, it's jarring. Was this an intentional design decision?

I found this very odd, too. On the other hand you have to active sound design and the same short songs are playing all the time. I had to turn of the music tbh.
