I had a lot of fun playing this game. Really feels like a "old" resident evil and silent Hill hybrid. The monsters are ok and the hospital as building is also ok. The puzzles are also good. I had good flashbacks from the "old" gems. Clear recommendation.

What a nice surprise this game was! I had no idea it was a mixture between Resident Evil and Silent Hill classic survival horrors and I absolutely loved it. I can see it could not be a game for everybody, as if you are not used to old survival horror games with limited saving in only certain locations, fixed camera angles, hard puzzles and a lot of backtracking, it can be not enjoyable. For me, however, it was a blast, the story is a bit convoluted and it has some plot holes, but still it keeps you hooked and eager to find out more with the diaries. The puzzles can be a bit too hard or particularly nuanced, but when you solve them it is very satisfying and rewarding and to be honest they are not unfair, as there is always a logic and clues to solve them, although sometimes they way too obtuse or require some culture knowledge (for instance the diskette one, or the monkey one). The funny thing is that, from what I've read, some puzzles are really hard for some people (the key ones, the dead body...) which were really easy for me, and others that looked easy for some people were really hard for me. Overall this game will likely attract old players of classic horror games, while more modern players will feel overwhelmed by the puzzles, the saving system or the fixed camera angles. These are in my opinion the strengths and weaknesses:

STRENGTHS
- The environment, setting and OST are very good, nothing to envy Resident Evil or Silent Hill.
- The trips to the past and their interactions are quite a nice and fresh touch.
- The puzzles are AMAZING, can hit a bit hard sometimes but they are fair and they have a logic behind, on occasions to obtuse to figure out though.
- The diary entries and how they tell the story is very interesting and you can enjoy reading and finding them.
- On your first playtrough, you can spend something between 10 to 12 h, which is quite a lot.
- Enemy design is really scary and disturbing.
- Difficulty feels pretty fair, I did not die a single time although I am a seasoned RE player, but at some points in the game I was about to, and struggled to get by with little to none healing items. ammo or saving tapes.

WEAKNESSES
- Very little variety of weapons (3 shooting and 1 melee) and enemies, especially during the first half of the game, basically the same type with different complements.
- A few puzzles are a little too much complicated or convoluted in their logic. I had to look up at least a couple of them after spending 15 minutes. I could have probably solved them spending more time but I was too impatient.
- The story has some plot holes in the end.
- The map system is not well implemented. It opens by default at the same area/floor, you can only see your position by looking at the ones on the wall on specific spots and the colors are confusing (coming from the RE system, I was expecting the red for incomplete areas and blue for completed areas, but here it is green for corridors and red for rooms). Finally the areas in the last third of the game directly do not have a map, and they are quite maze-like areas.
- Unbalanced item management. During the first part of the game you really feel short on ammo or tapes. After the first third of the game until the end, on the other hand, you basically have tons of ammo and tapes to spare. I finished the game with 11 tapes (saved 12 times in total) and plenty of ammo in all weapons.
- Little replayability, unless you want to complete the speedrun (below 3 h), no saving or no healing challenges for extra achievements, and unlock the special weapon.

Final score: 9.5, an excellent, fresh and upgraded version of classical survival horror games with little minor issues that will be an absolute blast for classical RE or SH players.
