Eye of the Temple should not require more than 2m x 2m (7′ x 7′).
When the play area is properly aligned, the starting feet symbol should always be in the center of the play area, so there is an equal amount of space all around it.
If you're using Quest 1/2, unfortunately the play area may get offset if you walk out of the play area while playing. In this case you can use the built-in reset play area functionality of the Quest 1/2 while standing in the center of your play area to fix the issue.
If you're using other headsets (Vive, Valve Index, Oculus Rift, etc.), the play area should remain correctly aligned unless you mess with OpenVR Advanced Settings, or if you have tracking issues. If it has somehow gotten offset, doing the room scale play area setup from scratch should fix it.
I hope that helps!
Feet should not come out of the square 200 x 200 cm, so 250 x 250 cm should be completely enough for you (not a speedrun mode where you accelerates too much).
This is the calibration you do after buying a headset.
