This game stinks

Better than SF1.

As someone who has played fighting games on and off since Street Fighter II in arcades (old man emoji) I think this has to be one of the best fighters ever made. There's something for everybody - modern controls are there for casual players who just want to push buttons and see cool stuff happen (while still being competitive) and the skill ceiling is appropriately high for people who want to get more hardcore. Ranked mode is particularly well designed; I felt like every time I got to a new subrank I was being matched against players who were slightly better than me, so by the time I got to Master I felt like I was appropriately prepared for it. World Tour is a little inessential but still fun, especially for those who have known Chun-Li and Ryu for 30something years and have sometimes wondered what it would be like to just hang with them. Aside from the occasional toxic weirdo, Battle Hub is a fun low-pressure way to wander around and pick up random games while admiring some of the most grotesque player avatars ever conceived. The game itself feels great to play and the character designs are fantastic; you only need to look at a character to get an idea of how they play and what they're all about.

My only complaint is the lack of character costumes, Tekken has them beat there. Hopefully they address that soon.
