Hi sol! I'm sorry for the late response and to hear that you're stuck in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Are you experiencing the exact same issue as the OP, where you're having trouble with the defense system puzzle and are keep getting stuck in the corner by the button? If so, please try the following:

• As iriyap has mentioned, try reducing the frame rate to a lower value (original FPS was 30). You can change these settings using your graphics card software such as Nvidia Control Panel or AMD Radeon software[www.amd.com].
  
  
• Enable V-Sync both in-game and in your GPU software
  
  
• If possible, try using the rewind feature to go back a few seconds and avoid getting stuck
