That said in Team Deatchmatch games, where there are Bots around, you can take command of any free bots around you (to do so press F1 and then F2 to order them to follow you). Depending on server settings you can command anything from 1 up to 6 or more bots.
And of course there are "Commander Battles" - where you spawn as officer and then command an entire unit of AI soldiers (can be up to 100 and more men).
In "Human vs. Bots" mode you have be be careful as BOTs are deadly accurate shots (less so in other modes) and extremely deadly, if they wield knives and the likes and get close to you.
I for one would love to see fatige/stamina for BOTs in game though, as that way they would not always "run" but walk and players would not be able to sprint/run about with their units.
