singleplayer / local server

is it possible to run an offline/local server and just have a crazy number of bots to play solo?

yes. set the attacking and defending bots to the number you want and spawn in.

Whaaat? there is no maximum?
can someone explain me precisely how to launch such a server? I tried with the Lan option but it didn't work... thanks

Download the dedicated server files under "tools" section in your steam library. Navigate to the folder and edit the config as you seem fit, most importantly, change the Senior Admin Password to something you can remember.

Then save the config file and double click the .bat file. This will launch the server. You can then go to your Server Browser and look for LocalHost. Enter your Senior Admin password in the password field before connecting, connect and all should work.

I try to spawn bots using the poll, but no bots spawn...

How is singleplayer at this point? Is it just hundreds of bots running around or does it actually feel semi historical and interesting?

what mode? and were you spawned in

The store page said to do commander mode, so that's what I tried... I was spawned in yeah as Union

so non com bots are only spawned in in non com modes. you would have to be in another mode for them to be spawned in. If you have senior admin powers, You can use f7+ f8 to spawn in enemy bots, and f7+f9 to spawn in friendly bots in any mode, that are under your command.
