Played a game with my brother to see how a quick "civ-like" card game would be. Found out a couple reasons why it wasn't for me. The first was that the unit UI feels clunky. It doesn't really tell you why some things aren't doable, like not being able to make a ranged attack because 1 of 2 hexes in the way is a mountain. Sometimes it was a little hard to tell what unit I was actually selecting since it wouldn't change the queued action on screen so I had to select all units in the hex and hit cancel on all of them (which caused me to waste a turn since I was in multiplayer). The second big problem I personally have with the game is that there isn't a way to set the win condition to domination. Yes I know the game is fully shown as a score game but the games are short, and wars feel terrible because of it. I can't say how easy it would be to add a domination win only rule to the game, but it would make the game way more approachable to someone who enjoys getting really into combat in these kinda games.
