"You haven't laughed since the Reagan administration"

The controls are awful, the ai is broken and inconsistent. The game encourages you to take people out instead of sneaking by, yet you have to be 2 inches from them in order to do so, but their pathing is broken and they just turn at random 90 degree angles. Then the gunplay is terrible. Even hitting a stationary target it's insanely inaccurate, and yet there are several forced shooter sections and most of them aren't even clear, it just forces you to be spotted, so you think you did something wrong. it's almost never clear where you're supposed to go. Half the time when I boot up the game, the audio is just non-existent. If you reload a save from when you had night vision on you just can't see anything. I think I enjoyed maybe 3 of the missions I played?

I understand a game being old, but this one is just a miserable experience. i don't understand why people praise it so much

Super fun game but very challenging

Ridiculously glitchy AI; makes the game unplayable. The original on Xbox was pretty wonky, but I played it a ton, and this port is just plain broken. Enemies spotting you motionless in dark corners, whirling around to respond to an approach from behind when you start moving at minimum speed, and just plain inconsistent AI behavior to player actions. Even IF the save system wasn't still the same idiotic once-per-hour-of-flawless-play checkpoint nonsense as the original, I still think the game wouldn't be playable.

gud game

Old, crusty, hard to understand and navigate, but the first glimse into what Chaos Theory would be. Lays the groundwork for a lot of future stuff, has some fun ideas ( and some bad ones )
Entertaining, and purchased for next to nothing.

An all time classic. Runs surprisingly well on modern hardware with minimal tweaking, as well!

old but gold

This game aged like whiskey, although the equipment selection was clunky (especially if you were being shot at). If you can see past the graphics from 2003, you'll love this.
