Anyone got this game working on the steam deck?

Works just fine, I recommend the 'Splinter Cell - Steam Controller' from the community controller set ups.
But, the game will freeze if you try use the Sleep function. You'll have the occasional texture disappear, but nothing to the point of annoyance.

Use older Proton version like 4.11-13

Working fine, but I had some artifacts at the start of the game, plus controls take time to get used.

ProtonGE seems to work fine. Initially the textures are glitched, but within a couple minutes everything is fine. Probably something with shader rendering in the background.
Just use the community layout for the Steam Controller, and everything works fine.

Just completed it using Proton 7.0 Linux Mint with the widescreen fix and PS3 textures. Keyboard and mouse controls worked fine after I set the keys up the way I wanted. Also added -shadowmode=projector to the launch options to get shadows working right. There were a few graphical issues. A shadow or 2 not going away with night vision and multi shadow projection with spotlights made it hard to tell what was lit up when using night vision. Last mission I was hanging off a ledge and angling the camera below Fisher caused the some textures to disappear. Could be just be in game issues from a nearly 20 year old software. Still a pretty great experience.

Thank you for looking into this. I'm excited to pick up this game for the Steam Deck. Especially on this winter sale deep discount!

Following up on this. Although the game is listed as unsupported, it installed and load up fine. Thank you again for making this post

Not sure if this is still active. Trying to play Splinter Cell on my Deck. Game loads ok. Selected the Splinter Cell - Steam Controller community layout. I can get to the training level and move the camera around but no other buttons will work and I'm unable to move.

You could try some of the other controllers online, I would need to bring the game up and I hope it hasn't been broken. Ubisoft isn't that great of a steward when it comes to their older bangers

Thanks for the reply. I've tried several community layouts but they all display the same behaviour. I can navigate through the menus and control the camera but actually moving Fisher around, or making him jump/climb etc isn't working. I've even tried going into the control settings of the game, clicking on forward/back/left/right etc and clicking on the D pad and ABXY buttons but no deal.

If you have used external controller on SD make sure that it is not used.
Open game controller page. On top, you can toggle between external controller layout and Deck by pressing L1 R1. Choose Deck.

I don't use any external controllers as I don't use the deck docked yet. I've clicked on the Splinter Cell tile, then clicked on the controller icon to the left of the settings icon but there's not an option to toggel between anything. I have the Current Layout heading then a question mark to the right. Underneath "Splinter Cell - Steam Controller". Below that "Browse Community Layouts for games without official controller support". Underneath "View Layout", "Edit Layout" Settings icon. Below that "QUICK SETTINGS BY ACTION SET". That then gives me the option to toggle using L1 and R1 but it just seems to enable or disable the Back Grip Buttons.

Am I missing something?

Yes all default and I've tried various Proton versions but currently 6.3-8 as it was metioned in a different thread but have tried several proton versions, all display the same behaviour.
