But, the game will freeze if you try use the Sleep function. You'll have the occasional texture disappear, but nothing to the point of annoyance.
Just use the community layout for the Steam Controller, and everything works fine.
You could try some of the other controllers online, I would need to bring the game up and I hope it hasn't been broken. Ubisoft isn't that great of a steward when it comes to their older bangers
Thanks for the reply. I've tried several community layouts but they all display the same behaviour. I can navigate through the menus and control the camera but actually moving Fisher around, or making him jump/climb etc isn't working. I've even tried going into the control settings of the game, clicking on forward/back/left/right etc and clicking on the D pad and ABXY buttons but no deal.
Open game controller page. On top, you can toggle between external controller layout and Deck by pressing L1 R1. Choose Deck.
I don't use any external controllers as I don't use the deck docked yet. I've clicked on the Splinter Cell tile, then clicked on the controller icon to the left of the settings icon but there's not an option to toggel between anything. I have the Current Layout heading then a question mark to the right. Underneath "Splinter Cell - Steam Controller". Below that "Browse Community Layouts for games without official controller support". Underneath "View Layout", "Edit Layout" Settings icon. Below that "QUICK SETTINGS BY ACTION SET". That then gives me the option to toggle using L1 and R1 but it just seems to enable or disable the Back Grip Buttons.
Am I missing something?
Is your game keyboard settings default ?
Yes all default and I've tried various Proton versions but currently 6.3-8 as it was metioned in a different thread but have tried several proton versions, all display the same behaviour.
