In the minigame it shows a weakness but that symbol isn't always on the board and if I hit any other symbol it seems like it always gets countered and does damage to me. How am I supposed to beat it?

I noticed this bug being mentioned lots in the discussions. I also noticed that when I get this bug I can save, close, and relaunch the game and it seems to fix the bug for a while. But I also noticed that when loading my save file, it lists the number of girls I have as way more than I actually have hired in game.
