You've heard of this already, but I'm having the same problem too, randomly stopped working one day. And no, the "troubleshooting guide" didn't help.

I've recently began playing Vegas again after many years (I bought the game on disc back in 2008) I'm aware the servers shutdown but i was wondering, is there any way at all to character customization without the need for servers?? Can't Ubisoft just provide a modded file or something? I feel it's such an easy thing to patch now that the servers aren't a thing......

Im just kinda looking for classic shooters to play and this one looks pretty interesting

Have tried switching the names. I've tried launching steam as admin. redownloading directX. Changing compatibility settings. deleting files. I've even bought the game on ubisoft connect - which same ♥♥♥♥ happened. Play button goes green for a few seconds and then it's like i closed the game. It's saying I played for 9 minutes though which I haven't. It was working before I formatted my pc days ago. R6Vegas 2 is working just fine. There's something in my system that isn't compatible with the game. ...

A long time ago I played til one part where my team got ambushed, all died and I gave up. I got it again last year, played well on hard up until the first fight with my team, where they all walked into the open and died, so I just quit, seeing how tedious that would be. Worth a third go, or is it just outdated silly NPC death grind fest?...
