Ive been having trouble jumping back and forth wall to wall and the controls wont let me. what do I do?

Steam overlay not working . so i take screen shot with nvidia so how do i upload here , need help ?

I tried all the controller settings and still non of them are working for prince of persia the warrior with in :( can you please tell me how to fix it. Because I've tried everything and nothing works. I really want to play it with my xbox 1 controller :(

I was in this hanging garden room, chasing a raven enemy and you have to use a rope and then run on a wall to then jump across to a platform to continue the fight. I tried this wall run probably 20 times now and every time i click space bar for him to let go of the rope and wall run he just drops. I even tried running backwards to where i came from to get to the rope and he wall runs fine. there is some weird barrier right where i need to go.
