I tried unplugging and replugging my modem to refresh my connection, no dice. What's weird is that it seems to be only the Steam client, as my regular client that I used before I got OSRS on Steam seems to work just fine. So I can play the game, just not on Steam, which is very odd to me.

Been having similar issues. Instant disconnects on my main account from both Steam client and OSRS Jagex launcher, but not on mobile. My alt can connect to the Jagex launcher though.

Oh I'm quite aware of what's going on, but it's not relevant to the problem I and other users are experiencing right now. The only one shooting off his mouth here is you; seriously, if you have nothing helpful to say just go away. There are plenty of other threads for folks who are salty about Jagex's questionable business decisions.

To get the discussion of this problem back on track, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, verifying the local game files, logging in to different worlds, and resetting my internet connection, and nothing has fixed the problem. My non-Steam OSRS client seems to work okay though. It feels like the problem is on Steam's end of things, based on that. Also, it was working fine a month ago, and then it just suddenly wasn't. Anybody else tried these things, or have any other suggestions?

Try clearing steam cache for runescape.

Id also check windows firewall/av are not blocking traffic for osclient(steam) version of the game.

Tried clearing steam cache. No dice, still doesn't work. I pulled up my firewall settings and it doesn't seem to be blocking any apps I have, although I might not know exactly what to look for. I use Norton as my main antivirus protection, if that matters.
