Report A Game Bug and Known Issues

This thread is for reporting game bugs to the testing staff of Old School RuneScape. For other game-related or account-related issues, see the pinned Community Posting Guidelines or Frequently Asked Questions threads.

Please provide as much detail about what you were doing before an issue occurred.

Bug Reporting Form

Please describe the bug. It may be helpful to give details of what you were doing, what happened when you did it, and what you expected to happen instead.
Please describe how to make the bug happen again.

Known Issues

Noticeable flickers and camera movement when crossing load lines in Fixed Mode. (Note: many instances of this should be addressed and resolved).
Game is noticeably brighter in Steam client.
The Hallowed Sepulchre arrows fired at the player often facing the wrong way.
Occasionally, you might see through the walls of some buildings, especially when zoomed out.
Game client may crash when audio output is physically unplugged.
Some textures displaying incorrectly (e.g. Mahogany tree canopy).
Bridges don't display correctly on the minimap.
Snow effects are displaying incorrectly.
Game client resizes itself when minimised and reopened at the smallest size.
Interface scaling doesn't position the minimenu correctly near the edges of the client.
Text can be difficult to read when UI scaling is active.
Reporting players via the right-click menu is currently broken.

Related to steam achievements (Shopaholic related):
Al-kharid, Falador, Edgville shops don't get marked after visiting them, tho after visiting all of them achievement appears as completed.

Right now I'm currently unable to report suspected players of botting via the right-click menu. I reported it in-game as a bug.

Mouse is automatically clicking rather randomly during the Tutorial Island, it even randomly clicks when I'm in settings, it's making it difficult to complete the tutorial as a result. I've verified integrity of game files and disabling Steam Controller overwriting settings and will report back if that works, I'm not running a macro or have malware either.

Disabling Steam Controller Input worked for me, if anyone else runs into similar issues this should work as a solution for you.

Insane amount of CPU is required to play steam version. On steam CPU 70+% on runelite less than 30%

I really am dissapointed with how this release was handled. By limiting our login options to only Steam you are restricting players' ability to use Runelite, which is simply better than whatever Jagex is doing, as well as making players unable to play on mobile devices with their character (even though all of this is available to players who sign up with Jagex accounts). I feel like Jagex is doing this on purpose, and this policy is clearly not in the players' interests.

I'm getting a CTD every time I click play. Messing with compatibility + run as admin did nothing. Reinstalling did nothing. Deleting the entire folder itself and reinstalling did nothing. Closing the Steam client down fully and then reattempting did nothing.

I'm having problems with text viability when using UI Scaling. This image shows the chat box scaled to 140%, but this happens no matter how much or little i scale the UI.

Game bugged out while trying to connect my OSRS account. Will now only allow me to continue with steam, and trying to connect my main with my steam account says that it's my steam account is already linked?

I'm sorry you feel that way. We think the improved performance and UI scaling are excellent efforts to improve our offering. We've seen a lot of feedback when it comes to our own client and gameplay helpers, and we're not ruling anything out.

We think this may be linked to the refresh rate of your monitor. We'll investigate optimising this.

Hey - do you have anymore information about the bug out?

In terms of sorting the Steam login:

I created a new account via steam and I'm unable to pick a display name. No matter what I type, hitting the "Look up name" button seems to do nothing. I hear the button click, and it visually looks pressed, but then it unpresses and there is no indication that a name was looked up.
