Romancing Rue
Anyone know how old rue cannonly is? Genuinely thought she was a child. Then when i was going through the character page thing it said she was romanceable, so obviously i found this to make me very uncomfortable. I didn't see anything saying her age, and I dont remember the game ever saying it so now i'm just curious. Maybe i just assumed because shes the mayors daughter. I just never imagined her as anything other than a child.

I had assumed that maybe she's high-school or college aged and that everyone else is 30+ ? At least that what helps me sleep at night.

You can't be serious....

I'm going to assume she is the age of the majority for that particular world. Judging by the dialogue and personality, the devs were likely trying to portray a sheltered/immature personality.

Regardless, Rue is not real and your concern over pixles on a computer screen is kind of comical to me.

Take my advice boi, avoid anything related to rule 34, or you'll end up broken by the end of the day...

Lol I'm totally cool with nsfw stuff (he'll I draw it for a living) just sorta gives me the icky that a character I thought was a minor was romanceable. I get she's fake so obvi it's not the dame but personally just makes me feel uncomfy 😅

If it makes you uncomfortable in real life that you thought she was to young than treat it like real life and just romance another character. If you saw someone in real life that seemed young or immature and that made you uncomfortable would you all of a sudden feel okay if you found out she was legal?

What does asking her age online do for you if your all ready turned off about the character I'm just curious.

I'm not an expert, but have you thought that maybe, people of minor age ALSO play this game? And they want romance?

And I'm not even taking account how innocent the romance in this game even is, considering you don't even get to marriage

This disturbed me as well, I thought she was 13. But her journal page says she's a "young lady". She's an adult. Also her parents look quite old so this explains that as well.

Don't get how getting upset over potential fictional pedophilia is "clown react" worthy. Doesn't matter if it's not real, it's still gross and uncomfortable. That being said, like I mentioned above, it's not the case, she's an adult.

Right? It kinda creeped me out when I figured she could be a romantic interest so I tried to see her as a sheltered young adult or even a teenager but it was impossible once I saw her bouncing her legs while sitting on a bench.

Her sprite is the exact same size as other character. If you assumed someone adult-sized and romancable is a child... well, I hope you will try and think why someone acting happy and cute makes you think they are children? It sounds a lot like infantilizing.
