Glass + Infusion
I know there have been threads commenting on this, but this is a thread to request it be changed back.

I want Glass to not affect health increasing items again. It's just not nearly as fun to play with and it's not like playing Glass is EASY until you run into one of those items anyway. Bring back old glass!

Im a bit on the fence with this one. The old glass was silly fun, and RoR2 had its fair share of cheesy things, but glass wasnt really one of them. Im not sure.
An option to toggle it would be nice.

Pretty sure it still works on classic mode.

i'm confused. glass raises your damage but lowers your health, infusion raises your health.
having glass lowers the amount of health you get from infusion, but it doesnt stop you from getting 9999 health in the end.

It does.
HP caps at 1k just with infusions or any HP increasing items.

nah its broken

Didn't they promise we'd be getting the un-nerfed infusion?

Either way, I don't actually mind getting 1/10th an hp per enemy killed, but it capping at 1000 is trash. You already need to kill 10x as many enemies (or have 19 infusions to get 1 hp per kill), and at that point you're strong enough that it's probably not an issue to just let it stack to 9999.

Just stack shield, evasion and armor, they are much more effective than hp in late game

Wild that I got clowned when all I did was ask nicely for a feature we had back in RoR1.

Just because there's alternatives doesn't make me any less sad that the setting I had a blast with back in the old days isn't here this time for ??? reasons. You can say balancing but 500% damage ain't going to always save you from something that just comes out of nowhere and snipes you. Starting at 10% of your health is enough of a base handicap imho.

Risk of Rain fans just can't take any forms of criticism.

Just tried on classic, it made no difference unfortunately. Hopefully modders will be able to fix this

same, modders know how to fix games better than developers for sure

Didnt know obvious design decisions were bugs. Honestly i understand this change because you instantly removed the point of high risk glass artifact if you just gave yourself huge health no problem with infusion

If you're going glass without command(and/or sacrifice), yeah, there's no reason to actually nerf infusion - it's pure RNG to get it, and you need every hp you can get to actually survive some hits.
Hovever, if you have command enabled, we all know we'll get it like 1st or 2nd uncommon item. And after a couple of minutes, glass downside might as well not exist.
So i think it's better to keep it that way - you still can scale hp up to 1k with 1 infusion, and 1k (given you stacked evasion and armor) will be enough for entire run.
Also remember - we have barrier now, and it trivializes everything.
