I finally found the item that completes it. After you've unlocked the ruins, go up there. There's a tree on the left side near the front of the ruins. There's a tiny 'dot' on the ground just to the left side of the tree. Pick it up! I searched both Google and Steam for this and found no mention of the sculpture/statue at all, but I finally found it quite by accident on my 3rd play-through.
