This update adds Web-Items to VTube Studio.

A Web-Item[github.com] is essentially a full web browser, available as an item in VTube Studio. They can be moved, rotated and pinned like normal items but display a website that you can interact with.

Web Items are basically like "OBS Browser Sources", just directly in VTube Studio.

You can use them to display and pin pretty much anything you want directly in VTube Studio... donation goal trackers, chat boxes, videos, any other fancy stream widgets... the possibilities are endless!!

The following features, bugfixes and improvements were also implemented:

Support for the Live2D Cubism Editor API[github.com]. This allows VTube Studio to directly send tracking data into the Live2D Cubism Editor. This makes it much easier for model riggers to test physics setups without repeatedly exporting the model.
Added tooltips to some of the main menu options and config options. Tooltip coverage will be expanded in the future to hopefully make the UI a little less confusing.
Fix for issue where VTS watermark would show up even when DLC was purchased.
API: New API for controlling post-processing effects[github.com].
Emote-Dropper: Support for renamed emotes.
Many smaller bugfixes.

This update adds a few more VFX, adds back the removed ones (with a warning and they have to be explicitly enabled), increases max. collab participants to 6, adds background hotkeys to macOS and fixes the macOS Sonoma issue.

Added back previously removed model glitch effects and added a few more. To use them, you have to manually enable them in the VFX settings found on the effects UI. This will also show a warning.
macOS: Hotkeys now also work when VTube Studio is in the background on macOS.

The following bugfixes and improvements were also implemented:

VTube Studio now works on macOS Sonoma again.
Fixed an API bug that made authentication fail sometimes.

VTube Studio 1.28.0 - Post Processing Effects / VFX

This update adds built-in post processing to VTube Studio, including effects such as bloom, backlight, lens-distortion and many more!!!

You can create effect presets and switch between them using visual effect hotkeys. It's a lot of fun, please give it a try!! (some examples below)

Other stuff that was added:

Post-processing (see above)
Spout2 Background, a special background that accepts Spout2 video streams and puts them as background in VTube Studio. Windows only. Be careful not to show any personal info if you use this!!
VNet: File upload/download rate limiting. With this, you can set upload/download speed limits to make sure big/long uploads don’t lag your VNet connection (or in the worst case break it entirely). Useful for users with low-bandwidth internet connections.
WebP "support". When you drag in WebP images (.webp) or put them in the “Items” folder, they are automatically converted to .png so they can be loaded in VTube Studio. WebP HATE!!!!!
API: You can now load arbitrary data as item (JPG/PNG) using the ItemLoadRequest after getting special permissions from the user. Also, you can now use the API to pin items to the model and get notified when the model or items were clicked. For more info, check the API documentation: https://github.com/DenchiSoft/VTubeStudio

The following bugfixes and improvements were also implemented:

Monthly backup warning. A popup is shown once a month to remind you to backup your models. Seriously, do it.
Fixed bug that made 7TV emotes not work in emote dropper and Twitch chat scroll.
Temporarily force VTube Studio to always start in fullscreen mode on macOS 14.2 because there is currently a macOS bug that makes VTS not register clicks in window mode on that new macOS version.

This update implements the following changes:

Updated Live2D SDK to version 5.0. Models exported for Live2D 5.0 will now load properly.
Advanced Lipsync for macOS, Windows, Android and iOS using uLipSync by hecomi.
Added new Twitch functionality: Twitch Chat Scroll, lets Twitch comments fly through VTube Studio.

The following minor changes/improvements were also made:

Circle-buttons now auto-hide if "show controls" is turned off.
Show warning if multiple hotkeys use the same key combination.

"Tracking lost idle animation" did not play when webcam was turned off. This is now fixed and the animation plays properly.

This update fixes an issue where the webcam tracker would no longer work when there were any non-ascii characters in the VTube Studio path, for example Japanese, Chinese or Korean characters.

Temporary patch to fix an issue where VTube Studio webcam tracking would mess with PC audio devices. Proper fix for this is coming later.

This update implements the following changes:

New webcam face tracker: Google Mediapipe. Comparable quality to NVIDIA tracker but no special GPU needed and works with hand tracking too. WINDOWS ONLY for now.
Added opacity to Screen/Multiply ArtMesh Color presets. Works with hotkeys as well and is compatible with VNet.
VNet: Auto-retry for all uploads/downloads. If any upload/download fails for models or items, it is now retried until it succeeds. This fixes a bug where sometimes models would not load for collab participants.
VNet: Increased maximum session time limit: One VNet session can now be up to 45 hours before it has to be restarted.
VNet: Increased model file size limits. One model can now be up to 250 MB total (compressed) with a single-file-limit of 95 MB. The maximum file count per model is now 250, increased from 150.
Android/iOS: You can now permanently turn off the “on-screen hotkeys” (white circles) on mobile when no model is loaded. To do that, make sure no model is loaded and check the “hotkeys” settings tab.

The following minor changes/improvements were also made:

Android: Fixed bug where models were always rendered solid black on some devices including the Samsung S23.
Re-enabled automatic GPU priority setting since the bug that caused crashes has been fixed.
Models can no longer be loaded when they’re directly in the “Live2DModels” folder. This now shows a warning instead. A model should ALWAYS be in an own subfolder in the “Live2DModels” folder, something like “Live2DModels/MyCoolModel”
...and a few more minor bugfixes.
