The community content is definitely worth it! I have played other sandbox shooters with workshop support and ER2 still takes the cake with how dedicated the community is!

Some of the workshop content is 10/10 in quality, plus you get so much more vehicles, weapons and assets too in addition to just more missions. There are several historian modders do who've done extremely in depth detailed recreations of several historical battles and have produced full campaigns of their own with full heightmaps imported from real world data, looks sourced from historical photographs, read every book and account of the battle and some seemingly have got Youtube video footage of the battlesite today just to make sure the look is 100% authentic. Yes you should buy this for the mods.

Definetly yes for the modded content, i currently have 650 mods downloaded and i completely reccomend it just for that alone

Strendant has some very interesting mods, he usually goes to era's no one else has mad a mod for yet so his content is rather unique.
