(I only played the mode with character creation I did not play the story mode)
(This is because I already watched the show and there is no reason to play a bad recreation of it in this game)

The only thing holding this game together is you coming into it with prior knowledge of the story. The gameplay starts off interesting with signs of it improving with stat points, but with the new abilities you unlock the more bland everything gets. The game never evolves from what it starts out as with the stat point system not really adding anything other than buffs to number stats like speed. All you get is a dash and more m1's

The fights in the game all mostly consist of enemies with one attack. The combat felt as though it would get advanced but it never did. I beat the final boss by just spamming m1. The one "good" bossfight which was Bondrewd had a few attacks with quick time events if you can even call them that. The quick time events in this game felt forced and out of place.

Somebody overseeing the game definitely just gave the dev team a list of things that had to be included in the game. Stuff I mentioned like quick time events and all the characters from the main show. I would honestly say that the only interesting layer is layer 1. Everything else is almost rushed. They forced in the main cast of the show without any relevance to the story.

The game also gets really hard for no reason as it forces you to be prepared for going on longer trips. While this seams like a normal/intentional part of the game it just turns out to be really boring and repetitive. If you go too deep and you can't make it back up to the surface you either have to hope you saved somewhere half way through or just reset your whole entire dive. You have the option to return to the surface with all your progress being lost, but you can sometimes spend hours without going to the surface since there is no reason to be up there.

The ONLY good thing in this game is the music. It's probably the reason I stuck around to finish it other than just wanting to get to the bottom. The music is nothing like the show but it's perfect. It really turns the game into something that feels treacherous. At one point I muted the music just to see how the game felt and ofcourse it just reminded me I was playing ♥♥♥♥. Honestly if you take anything away from this just go search up the ost on youtube or something.

Obviously there was a small budget for this game which is expected since this was never meant to be a big game, but its also 60$. I got it on sale for 10$ so I would definitely not buy it at full price. Honestly don't even buy this game because the creator is already weird enough and at this point i'm praying on the series downfall. If you have seen the manga back covers you know. Main take away is to go support the composers for this game and the show.

This game is fun when you are familiar with the main story and wants extra content on the world building, this game covers the normal life of a cave raider which is the main gimmick of the game. Although layer 3 can be a bit annoying but a little guide from the internet doesn't effect the experience and the game loop can still be fun. The endgame still has a bit of content to offer which stayed me entertained for a month even after beating it, after that it starts to get repetitive and stale with the grinding. Combat is very straightforward so if you want a combat experience like other decent game this might not be for you, but it is enjoyable for skill issue gamers like me lmao
