Old Save Games

Trader and transporter counts updated to match new game constants.
Outdated buildings rebuilt using base stats, upgrades, modifications, synergy, and global effects.
Outdated research effects removed; current research bonuses applied (e.g., unit speed, capacity).

Changes

Moved road/bridge deconstruction to a new build menu item.
Added global building count to build tooltips.
Hovering over a build item now highlights all buildings of that type.
Achievements now unlockable in custom maps.
Guard flags can be set on bridges.
Battles no longer occur on bridges; nearest bridgehead is used instead.
Added shortcut T for research tree.
Added shortcut Tab to select knights.

Bugfixes

Single-slot residential buildings now start with “Content” happiness to prevent early departure.
Global stock info now updates correctly when a city is deconstructed.
Cities can no longer share duplicate names.
Fixed scouting sometimes revealing the entire map too early.
Fixed certain modifications reducing instead of boosting production.
Fixed some research effects not applying.
Fixed quests occasionally not starting.
Fixed possible crash during city destruction.
Battle zones now clean up correctly when a trader’s city is deconstructed.
Fixed final quest not spawning in some games.

transport too inefficient

Transport are too inefficient (merchants too, but the bottlenecks are definitely transports). I don't even max out the districts of my cities (level 4 city have only 8 districts, which is what a lvl 2 can have) and I can see the transport failing to properly collect resources. Every building work only half of the time because their internal storage are full and the transport fail to bring them to the city storage in a timely fashion. Added prebuilt research lab to branching out
Small changes to quest timing in branching out to prevent simultaneous king messages
Removed visible fish tile on other side of bay from starting area in fishy business
Small change to scouting north quest condition in fishy business to prevent players from soft-locking themselves
Added more transporters to city upgrades
- Upgrade 1: +1 → +1
- Upgrade 2: +1 → +2
- Upgrade 3: +1 → +2
- Upgrade 4: +1 → +3
Start speed of city transporters +10%
Transporter numbers and stats will be updated on load if save game version is outdated.

We will rework the city transporters in the future but for the time being simply giving the player more slightly faster transporters should mitigate bottle necks in the city logistic.

Small balance change to Stone Tool Maker and Forge production.
Adjusted "Coal is the Goal 2" side quest in the "Livery Delivery" campaign map to recognize any coal production and not just the coal mine building.

Fixed a bug breaking the main quest in "Branching Out".

I've completed the campaign and two of the scenarios. Ok, cool game, I like it. Some things that I think will make it better: 1. Bridges longer than two hexes; put it up in the citizen area so it doesn't nerf the exploration. 2. The hex at the end of a bridge that begins in a village SHOULD be adjacent...especially the one hex bridges....we can argue about longer ones later ;-) 3. Please....larger and randomly generated maps. I could play this for DAYS with randomly generated maps. 4. I need a b...

Let Them Trade? More Like Let Me Wait

On paper, this looks like a cozy trade-focused builder with charming visuals and a unique twist. Sounds great, right? But once you get past the adorable art style, the magic wears off fast.

Yes, it’s pretty. Yes, the idea of linking up cities via trade routes has potential. But where’s the game?

You’ll spend most of your time watching tiny carts trudge along roads at glacial speed, tweaking basic resources, and hoping your fragile economy doesn’t collapse because someone forgot to pack enough socks. There’s barely any depth, progression is almost non-existent, and once you “get it,” that’s… it.

Replayability? Nope.
Strategy? Barely.
Challenge? Only if you count staying awake.

Combat exists but might as well not. Exploration drags. The economy moves like it’s stuck in molasses. Everything feels like a prototype that never evolved into a proper game.

There’s potential here but right now, it’s all charm and no substance.

Just wasn't enough there to keep me interested. Make the obvious basic building decisions, put it on fastest speed to gain money, build something else. It doesn't really matter, you're going to win.

hope this is a bug that gets resolved eventually, but its a deal breaker for me:

I hate that i can get a building to produce a lot of something per activation(~98 planks), but the city mostly ignores unloading the building even when i star it. That causes the building to lay idle and for my cities to run out of that resource.

I'd probably be happier if that building couldn't create an obscene amount of stuff if the programming can't accomodate unloading it.

Is tavern worth building at peasant stage?

It seems to me it would just be better to build more peasant housing rather than a tavern, a single peasant house generate more money for the city than the tavern does when employing peasant, this do however change when workers are employed.

Specilization vs Generalization?

I will start this discussion with the question of, whether to specialize or to generalize when it comes to cities. Specialization means that trade will become much faster since a city will need a resource urgently, for example a potato farm city will look to export its potatoes, and buy wood which they can't produce, meanwhile a wood chopping city will look to buy potatoes that they can produce while selling wood. If each city has sufficient resource production of each type then they will find no reason t...

High GPU usage

Game seems to demand a lot of computation from the GPU, anyone else seeing this? Other than that it runs fine, but I probably can't justify buying a simple game that causes such a disproportionately large burden on the GPU.
