I think the answer is yes. I bought it last week, opened it, and found that all the progress and options I made in the demo are retained in the full version.

Interesting. It was not my case. Had to replay the first two levels, which was kinda frustrating.

For me, the game did not unlock the first achievement itself. (since I stated from the demo progress directly)
