Game won't launch anymore on Linux, Please help!
I think this might have something to do with the update from yesterday. My game was running perfectly fine on my Linux Mint machine before, but it no longer works. I tried all the basic troubleshooting things, like verifying the integrity of my files, but it just won't launch. Sometimes when I try to launch it, it just does nothing. Other times it comes up with this error message:
"An error occurred while updating TOEM (missing executable):
/home/(my computer's name)/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/TOEM/TOEM.x86_64"
I would really appreciate some help, as I didn't even get to finish the game, and I really did like it!

We have now addressed that so the game should now launch!

I'm not the only one - it seems like a lot of people can't launch it on Linux from what I've seen.

The executable is called Linux_Steam.x86_64 in Linux. I've added a symbolic link (by "ln -s Linux_Steam.x86_64 TOEM.x86_64" and the game launches correctly.

I just got TOEM and it won't launch on Linux (Pop! OS) for me, either. Rather than getting any kind of error message, it just goes back to the "Play" button after initially indicating it's trying to open via the blue button ("Launching," "Stop," or whatever).

I tried -force-opengl (sometimes works with other games) and running through Steam Runtime for Linux, but that doesn't solve the issue. Please help?

Hmm that's new, can you check the install directory and see if there's a TOEM executable?

Hmm that's new, can you check the install directory and see if there's a TOEM executable?

It actually works now, following a Steam update. Thanks for your swift reply, in any case!

I installed the TOEM demo on Linux Mint Cinnamon thru Steam and when clicking Play, I get a notice that there is a missing executable - toem.exe. I thought this was fixed.

Yes, same problem with the demo. I launched it directly (outside of Steam) and it ran well. Is the full game working properly?

The full game runs, we've written up this issue and will start investigating!
