Hey everybody, there are some exciting news!
We decided to put more of Super Cable Boys future in your hands and what better way to do this than to give you access to the level editor to make your own levels?

For now, the editor update is only available on the "publictest" branch of the game, which everybody can opt in by
->going to their Steam library
->right clicking on the Super Cable Boy game and then on
->Properties...
->BETAS
->selecting "public test - public test branch"

You can find the editor and play custom levels by visiting the "Arcade" a new area inside the game, floating above the "Sleep Mode" area.

Our long term goal is to test the waters of user generated content and see what the community will do with it, but for now we are desperately looking for feedback, so please please please make sure to tell us your opinion on how to improve the editor and the general experience with it (and all the bugs it definitely still has)!

If you want to take part in the community, share levels, give us feedback or talk to other people about Super Cable Boy, you can do so on our community Discord server[discord.gg].

it's a tiny update:

• Added Portuguese localization. Many thanks to Jorge Junio and Lucas Pavlinscenkyte (EQUIPE TRADUÇÕES PKG)!
  
• Added fresh new cover and banner images on the Steam page! I think they're cute.
  
• Fixed DPad controls for most gamepads.
  
• Minor bug fixes.

As part of our daily routine we rolled the dice and looked at our chart to decide what new things to add to this game now.

We rolled our wheel of fortune exactly four time and this is what it landed on:

• A tiny new secret area.
  
• A couple of new Onigiris.
  
• New localizations, this time it's traditional and simplified Chinese, Korean and Spanish.
  
• Some bug fixes that have been inside the game since launch, but nobody really noticed or thought they where just "part of the Glitch".

This update might confuse some users due to it's random nature, but trust us, it's all going to make sense it the end. Or is it?
Or maybe we are running out of quirky patch note ideas and started to just write down the random stream of consciousness we call our mind. Who knows? Stop asking so many questions and stop confuzzling everyone! Do you see Cable Boy up there? He's confuzzled, too.

Well, well, well. A lot has happened since the last update and Cable Boy has been electrocuting his circuits for you day in day out. But don't worry. We're here to comfort you and tell you all about it. He has become smarter, more stable, but most of all, a boy of culture.

LOCALIZATIONS
I know, I know... It's kind of ironic that the event news itself is only available in English, but hey, we gotta cut budget somewhere, you know?
Anyways...
Cable Boy downloaded himself some language lessons and is now fluent in:

• Japanese
  
• German

He's still learning a few other languages, though. Almost there. Learning new vocabulary is difficult if you have only 32kb of Memory.

• Traditional Chinese
  
• Simplified Chinese
  
• Thai
  
• Spanish

OST RELEASE
Did you know Cable Boy loves to dance? If you've ever pressed [R2] during the game, you probably did.

BUG FIXES
And as always we fixed a couple of bugs and glitches here and there (not the good ones, though. The good ones stay.):

• Fixed a bug that caused the player to be teleported outside the disassembler boss fight room, when taken damage and playing with extra lifes
  
• Reworked the level highlighting logic on the world map
  
• Beep boop

NINTENDO SWITCH RELEASES
aaaaaand.... the game is now available on Nintendo Switch! That's it. That's all I'm going to say about this one. This is not a promotion for the Switch Version, just a footnote containing purely non promotional information. Don't buy it. Just know that it's there. (I didn't write this because Steams policies are holding me hostage at all. Please don't sue me. Buy the game though. Just on Steam, of course. What? Who wrote all that? no one. You just imagined it.)

Super Cable Boy's Tunes are now available!

Sit back, relax and let Cable Boy show a world of bleeps and blops that make your main frame melt. You know, Cable Boy is not only an athletic climber, but got some serious moves as well!
Relive Cable Boys journey on his quest to defeat the glitch through these amazing chip-tune bangers. All proceeds go to the composer.

WARNING: Installing this Speed Hack may cause overclock issues on your Cable Boy device. Other wanted and unwanted behavior like "just going too fast" or "look, mom I'm super speedy" have been reported by current users. This speed hack is using an oversight by the developer which was found inside the Assembly code to install a speed hack on to your the Cable Boy device.

What this speed hack does:

• Breaks cable boys clock speed.
  
• Patches in a new area and additional achievements.
  
• Improves the accuracy of the in game clock.
  
• Adds an option to skip cutscenes so Cable Boy can go fully unthrottled.
  
• Fixes some bugs (e.g. issues with the blacklister).

What this speed hack doesn't do:

• Break the 4th wall even further.

WARNING: Installing this Jailbreak onto your Super Cable Boy device may cause software instability, frequent crashes or other unwanted behavior. This jailbreak is using an oversight by the developer which was found inside the cloud code to jailbreak the Cable Boy firmware.

What this Jailbreak does:

• Patches in a new secret area and additional achievements.
  
• Breaks Cable Boy's operating system.
  
• Hacks a bunch of new Onigiris and Achievements into the game.
  
• Injects some malicious features into the game, like deleting save slots.
  
• Breaks the game.

What this Jailbreak doesn't do:

• Make the game easier.
  
• Make the game more stable.
  
• Make the game less glitchy.

So yeah, I did it! I did the thing everybody was waiting for! I put controller rumble support into the game!

Everyone: But we actually wanted new content!
Developer: Haha controller goes brrrrr

Ok, jokes aside. I do think it's quite cool to have this feature and for those who get easily annoyed, there is also an option to turn it off. Also that is not all I have been working on. There is a bunch of minor improvements, like some fixes for input problems, support for OpenGL and Vulcan, Cloud saves integration and a few bug fixes. And not to forget the speedrun timer now properly acts as one.

Oh, and because so many people were crawling on their knees, begging for it: The final fight got a tiny bit easier. Nothing too major, just a few tentacles less, a few seconds of attack off the clock, some more time to hurt the poor guy and the Ink-Cartridge can finally stop those lasers!

Cable Boy told me something doesn't feel right. Something was missing. He couldn't really tell what it was, but something was bothering him. After going through the game's code with him, we realized something... It wasn't there...

The quick but certain rush of voltage through his circuits when all of the sudden Steam's toast message pops up and says "ACHIEVEMENT"! It was just missing from the code. How could this be? How could we have been so blind? Well, it's nothing a little patching couldn't fix, so here we go. You deserve it.

Also, a couple of adjustments were made to some of the levels difficulty. Some early levels became more difficult and some later levels a tick easier. It felt like the right thing to do.
Oh, and for the speedrunners out there, we got a cooler timer now!
