problem with the book

hello i am not able to read the book at the start of the start
no matter how much i reinstall or restart my windows the game does not allow me to flip the page
i have also played the demo and it can work
does anyone else has this problem as well?

have you tried exiting the fullscreen mode? sorry for the issue

yea i have i also tried changing the resolution but nothing works

Maybe a case of 'you have to interact with everything else before you can proceed' ?

Dang it, I'm having the same issue as well.
Uninstalled, reinstalled, updated PC, restarted PC....
It wasn't like this before.
I played it a few months ago and it was fine. I could use both the keypad and the mouse on my pc (I forget if you can use them interchangeably though) but now I can only get past the start menu with the keypad and I'm also stuck at the book. This game doesn't seem to be responding at all to the mouse for me while my other games are responding to it just fine...

:( It's not easy to reproduce on our machines, it seems rather rare. Can you post your PC configuration? Meanwhile, I recommend refunding. I'll post here as soon as we have a fix! Sorry again.

i do have to apologise , but i do not understand what a PC configuration is but the pc i am using is HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dy0xxx and i am sorry if i was not able to provide info

I'm having a similar issue. I just bought the game and on launch I can only use the keyboard (doesn't respond to mouse). When I start the game and get to the book it doesn't let me do anything. Clicking the arrow doesn't work. I tried using the confirmation button (space bar) and the left button too. Also there is no controller plugged in either.

Figure I would post it here instead of making another similar thread

It appears that the game thinks that there is a controller attached, do you have any other peripheral or virtual controller? Maybe a button-mapping software running?

nope i have nothing running in my background but i think its my pc cuz it is touch screen so i think the game think it is a button-mapping software
