I want to like this game so much. Love the gameplay. I hate it's rhythm. The strategy of choosing how to ration your troops is a fun mechanic and I enjoyed receiving rewards for taking on more challenging missions. The game itself just feels so rushed. I can't help but make a beeline towards the end lest the battles become even more difficult. The choice of how you take over the island is strategic, just not in a way that I find fun. I want to cripple the enemy's forces through where I attack, not have them become more powerful the more I kill them.

The music is amazing, the vision of the game the game is tight, the aesthetic of the game is appealing, and I enjoy seeing the little pips do their thing when they get into skirmishes (even though they are idiots sometimes). This game will be a blast for some people, but for me it doesn't feel as rewarding to play as I would like and falls short of a good time.

Delightfully retro feel in bite-sized play sessions. Easy to get into, lots of room for growth and skill depth.

I get a lot of old Command & Conquer vibes, ESPECIALLY in the music. A little bit of old C&C, a little bit tug-of-war flash game, and a surprising range of units and strategies.

Highly recommend!
