The worst thing about this game in my opinion is that it takes roughly 2 hours to do the tutorial missions which gives you very little time to learn the basics so you can see if you personally enjoy it before being unable to refund it; I enjoy it though so I'm not upset about that too much :D

However I highly recommend it personally. It has one of the most fascinating economy systems I've seen and the way the AI are always expanding their own conquests.
I got sucked into a multi-hour long battle after a trade route suddenly became blockaded by Xenon warships. I spent over 4 hours in a fighter fighting off small and medium ships, even managing to take out an entire destroyer!
But the the AI conquest is simply amazing. They blockaded a trade route which has slowly been starving multiple shipyards in my area, they started building their own factories in the sector illegally, and yet they've been slowly beat down so much that their main force consists of smaller ships now which and the sector is becoming a stalemate.

The most common complaint I see is people calling the AI horrible, and while it cab be janky, I heavily disagree. The AI for the most part is pretty competent. The main issues people have seem to be when AI get attacked. They just sit there and ask you if they should fight or retreat. This can be prevented though if you change their default behavior settings.
I've seen bad AI in games and this AI is much further on the positive than the negative side of the scale.

The last thing I have to say is this is one of the few games that has a massive UI and a bunch of features that don't intimidate me. I personally feel like it's not to common to find a game that has a very wide variation of stuff you can do, while not being overly complex to learn and manage.

Ok ok....I gave it another shot I was very annoyed by the bug that yeeted me across the universe.......I am not slowly becoming obsessed with this game.
