Lock the framerate to 60-120 to get the GPU usage significantly down since this game is really GPU-hungry and a bit unoptimized
(99% of the time you don't want uncapped FPS anyway, mostly to avoid needless strain on computer components)
Because of the visual style, you can also lower the resolution quality down to ~90% with pretty much no visual impact, that also impacts the GPU usage a bunch.
You can do both through the in-game options.
