Disappointed in the Interpanetary Rocket

Have the devs heard of SpaceX and their Falcon 9 REUSABLE rocket? THAT is what the interplanetary rocket should be, not a one-use-only rocket that you need to scour resources for and build each time you want to travel between planets.

My spouse and I love the base game and have spent many hours in it and were SO looking forward to exploring & terraforming new planets, BUT the fact that we can't move more "freely" between worlds after the many hours spent grinding on the base game is a definite turn off. We feel you should be able to more effectively leverage your prior efforts in transforming a previous world to make terraforming a new world a bit more easier OR at the very least, travel between worlds easier during the process.

We ended up loading a previously saved game, before we had ever traveled to Humble, to enjoy the base game a bit more and are seriously considering just calling the base game DONE and not playing anymore. We have no intention of building a new rocket each time we want to move between planets. So, effectively, this ends the game for us.

We hope the "one-time-use-rocket" may be changed in the future.

The falcon 9 only reuses the booster, the second stage is trashed.
The game rocket booster is still there when you land, you just build the reentry capsule.
Late stage its easy to make and build that portion. I travel back and forth all the time.
All the parts are made in autocrafters.
Not to mention its just a game. Have fun with it...

And, as they stated in the patch that increased the mats required to build the capsule, this was intentional. They wanted players to invest in terraforming the planet they are currently on and to use the transport shuttle to ferry materials, rather than ferrying back and forth continuously.

.... besides which, later on in the game you will easily be able to craft all the materials you need for a travel rocket, without it costing you much if anything... no scrounging required then, and really, that 'scrounge' mode doesn't last for long, once you get the shuttle you can effectively share all the resources between all your planets and moons, wherever you are.

But I still like to travel back and forth a fair bit - I find it fun. And not all that expensive! So I say, don't give up so easily, just before the going gets good - you might find some rather unexpected rewards much sooner than you expect! :-)

use the interplanetary exchange shuttle to leverage your established world. they are very strong especially if you build a few and use some fuses.

it shouldn't take that long too unlock after you move to a new planet.
