2020 DiRT 2 Games for Windows Live Fix...

I've compiled the files needed to get DiRT 2 working on windows 10 (2004 Build) as of Sept 2020

if you just want it to work and don't care about GFWL installing just follow step 3 in the readme....

Been messing with GFWL for some days, had many of the components, but looks like I was missing the *.ini

Still find it very anti-consumer that Microsoft just switched off legacy support - I cannot login anymore and lost all my old progress. Worse, you need a hack / mod to switch on local profiles!

Have used the dll/ini fix on F1 2010 as well.

Do you still need the GFWL software if you are using the mod?

EDIT: no you don't.

What if some of us are still on win 10 1909? I only update when windows has it in it's normal updater tool, aod so far anything from 2020 isn't stable enough to update normally from.

This should work just fine with 1909 2004 or 20h2 all of the files are for windows 7 anyway...

Thank You so much man, this game is LEGENDARY, I have no idea how it still looks so freaking pretty, plays like a charm and is so neat all around, I remember playing this over and over and over again more than 10 years ago.

Have no idea how new codemasters games never looked so good as this, come to think, I personally think they look worse. I have no idea how it is even possible...I played all dirt games and the last one I played dirt 4 looked like trash compared to this gem, same goes for rally games.

Hi everyone, I would like to understand why on my Windows 10 pc still today 03 March 2021, GFWL has always worked with log-in and everything else and without any patches and Colin McRae Dirt 2 works great and I can see the friends list from 10 years ago. Why?
