welp i already bought the game and dlcs on the sale but cool to see what you are doin. seems like you are already aware by how you do this but do NOT post the keys anywhere public
I loved RftA when I played it years ago on Game Pass. I even bought the DLCs. I keep hearing how good Hell Mode is for it, and there's nothing else like Survival mode...

yea the remnant 1 surv was realy realy good a shame its not in the remnant 2 game

but the devs have done what the other side of the comunity wanted.. surv with your own builds

The 2nd game is much much better in almost every regard. Yea it's still not perfect but at least they fixed a ton of poor design decisions and Im very glad they realized these things and fixed them cuz otherwise the game wouldnt be as successful, nobody would play it and r3 would be as ♥♥♥♥. But this way we will get an even better game in the future and again I really hope they learn from their mistakes like how scuffed boss rush and the prism system is (especially the prism system makes it very obvious that tragic had no time to work on it so it has a ♥♥♥♥ ton of issues that you only run into when you try to actually max out several prisms).

Wrong. People like you are the reason. People who have no clue about game design and do random ♥♥♥♥ like injecting political agendas and thinking that is what people want. Actually, both survival and Boss rush are different game modes, meaning one might like one and disklie the other.

I liked the old survival mode because it offered different runs everytime ( though Reisum was bugged af during some boss fights, and sometimes there were instant deaths because reasons ), but I can see nowdays many people enjoying endless grind with their characters ( reason why, imo, they invested into boss rush and prism ), leaving apart that doing a survival mode with the current class/traits system would have indeed required more time than in R1.

I honestly don't think it would be an issue to implement. All they have to do is give you 1-3 items after every encounter in the boss rush so very fast you can make your own build. They could add a shop every x rounds so mitigate RNG and boom easy peasy.

They didnt want to do this cuz they have data. They know the vast majority of people didn't interact with it in the first place so they went with smth different hoping for a mode with more player engagement. I think this is a little sad, cuz eventhough I obviously prefer keeping the stuff I farmed for hundreds of hours for I think having the option to do a challenge that takes it away from you is sometimes fresh and can be fun, especially with friends.

But then we have the issue of a both boss rush and prism system being incredibly undercooked cuz it wasnt tested properly and rushed like crazy. There is a management issue in the studio and unfortunately active players like myself have to deal with the BS that comes from it.

I'll speculate here... but I have the feel that both boss rush and prism system were a test for their next game.

I also agree it wasn't properly cooked and felt rushed more than the boss rush itself, but at least it's an extra and not mandatory ( prism oversimplifies an already game that could be facerolled at the higher difficulty, and boss rush it's just a mean to grind something not required, though it feels out of place considering it's not a live service game... but whatever... ).

There's a mod that offers something let's say "similar to the old survival mode" if you are interested.
Oh no I think the idea of prisms is amazing. You get to make a ton of really cool builds that wouldnt be possible otherwise. My issue is the implementation and the amount of RNG and artifically wasted time for no reason.
It's probably fine if you only ever level 1 prism but if you do it a few times you eventually realize how much time you waste effectively achieving nothing, especially if your relic just bricks halway through or near the end of leveling it.
Also if you feed it fragments it will have an super high chance to give these as an option INSTEAD of giving you the combined trait. This leads to you often having to overlevel fragments as the game refuses you to give you the fusion. I had a relic up to level 40 before I got a fusion, so I almost leveled it fully for no reason as the levels would get taken away after I took several fusions.

I also have some doubt it works properly with the boss rush. At the end you get a bunch of XP to level your prisms more than once and I feel like the stats you roll are predetermined after leveling it up multiple times at once. Now if you put in a fragment it wont take it for the next roll but rather rolls afterwards.
I'm not 100% sure on this last one but from my experience I had no issues when I leveled it up level per level instead of using the boss rush to get a bunch of levels at once, and doing it with boss rush left me a bricked relic twice so idk how many hours went down the drain for no reason.

Either way if the last one is real or not having a chance to just completely waste your time for no reason is really bad imo. It's frustrating and unnecessary.
