the regular one's shift time are the same for shifting inwards and outwards where the one with springs shifts slower in wards (compressing the spring) and faster out wards (releasing the sping)

Ah! I haven't unlocked those yet.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the standard shifters. I can only make a decent "3 speed" with two of the two speed shifters. lol

Are there any videos I can watch to get an idea of some good gear ratios, or see a decent 4 speed box that doesn't use Planetary gears? I've heard that transmissions that use Planetary Gears have make use of a glitch that makes everything spin faster or something.

Oh I just noticed your response, Sorry about that. No I have not tested the shift times between the two types I was just repeating what the was said about them in the stunt showdown dlc is out now; plus update v0.3.15.9 patch notes that where released on dec 10th 2024. As for why have haven tested or even used them to date is bc I cant seem to unlock them, or find what race unlocks them, yes i have the dlc and it is installed but alas some bug or something is keeping them from me.

Okay I found that the crater race awards the gearshift spring 3 but even after racing that one just now despite finishing with gold I still haven't unlocked the gear shift 3 :(
